General Body Meeting of VOSS 92 to be held on 22nd May 2016 at 10 AM @ Press Club of Odisha.

               

All  general body members of VOSS92 are hereby informed that VOSS92 is  planing  to Celebrate Silver Jubilee (25th Year) of 90-92 Vanivihar PG Pass out batch on 8th Jan 2017(second Sunday) . Different committees have been formed to decentralize the works and responsibility in connection with Silver Jubilee for its grand success. In addition to the committee all members can play a key role to unite all batch mates/ Department mates/ hostel mates/ Room mates/ special paper mates etc through their personal contact. They can share their information to VOSS92 through its email uuvanivihar 1992@gmail.com or by phonic message to committee members. It will be a pleasant occasion if all friends/ batch mates will attend the Silver Jubilee. For this purpose committee members are arranging meetings regularly to invite suggestions/ideas and guidance from other friends. One Advisory  Board will be formed consisting of one professor and senior students of   Vanivihar to advice the Celebration Committee. In this context it is to mention here that the role of Secretary is vital to coordinate /make correspondences/ to contact different corporate houses along with the team for better arrangement of Silver Jubilee. Our beloved Secretary Mrs Babita Kar(Pol.Science) is facing difficulties to give time for the said purpose due to her family and professional engagements, so she has submitted her resignation to President , VOSS92 on 8th May 2016. Considering her difficulties President has accepted her resignation and for the time being Asst. Secretary -Samita Panda(Pol.Sci) has been nominated to work as Acting Secretary till decision of General Body. 

                 For this purpose one   general body meeting will be held on 22nd May 2016 at 10 AM at Press Club of Odisha in front of Congress Bhawan, Bhubaneswar considering importance of Silver Jubilee. So all members are requested to participate in the proposed meeting in time to select one active member for the post of Secretary . Thanking you.

Members of Vanivihar Old Students Society 92(VOSS92 ) will celebrate Silver Jubilee of PG Degree.

It is decided in Silver Jubilee preparatory  meetings of  VOSS92 that members of VOSS 92 will celebrate 25th year of their Master Degree on 8th January 2017(Second Sunday). Venue will be decided very soon. Members are requested to pass this message to batchmates those are in touch with us. All members must share their email ID, Phone no , Photo, Date of Birth, date of Marriage, Blood group, Job details to VOSS92 through its email uuvanivihar1992@gmail.com for preparing a data base of batchmates and to publish the same in the Souvenir which will be released in the Silver Jubilee function. All are also requested to send articles/ write up, old photos of different groups in front of  Department buildings taken during study for memory. VOSS 92 has formed different committees for best arrangement and grand success of  Silver Jubilee in an innovative manner. The Celebration committee will function under the dynamic leadership of Priyabrat Mohanty, President of VOSS92 . Sri Gadadhar Rath, Convenor, VOSS 92  unanimously selected  to work  as Convenor, Celebration Committee . Sri Pitabas Jena, founder Member cum Advisor, VOSS92 will head the Receiption & Function Sub Committee with members like Dr. Susanta Kumar Kar, Arun Kumar Ghosh, Dr. Bankim Chandra Tripathy, Bikash Ranjan Behura, Khirod Kumar Panigrahi, Rajendra Patra, Bimbadhar Sethy, Samita Panda, Lita Mohapatra(Mishra), Dr. Manisha Acharya. Accommodation and refreshment sub Committee will be worked under the able leadership of Sri Manoj Kumar Rout, Founder Member cum Advisor VOSS 92 with members like Himansu swain, Dr. Priyabrat Nayak, Binay Dash, Dr. Nivedita Prusty, Dharanidhar Nanda, Chitaranjan Panda, Dr. Rasmi Mohanty, Adv Bishnu Prasad Dash, Sarit Panda, Dr. Nityananda Mandal, Ramesh Ch Sahoo, Dr. Sudhakar Jalli. Secretary, VOSS 92 will head the Finance Sub Committee with members like Janhabi Deo, Samita Panda,, Pranab Kumar Das(Treasurer), Lita Mohapatra(Mishra), Sadashiv Panda, Manoj Deo. The most important Sub committee which will represent our old memories and present information is Souvenir sub Committee which will be functioned under active guidance of CA Janhabi Deo as Coordinator of the Sub Committee with member Dr. S.K.Kamila and Editorial Board consisting of Dr. Sudhakar Jalli, Dr. Bankim Ch Tripathy, Dr. Manisha Nanda, Gadadhar Rath, Muktikant Nayak, Tapas Nayak and Himansu Sekhar Barik. For entertainment purpose Babita Kar will head the Cultural Sub Committee with members like Manas Dash, Kamal Lochan Parida, Sasmita Prusty and Ranjita Mishra Kar. Retired Professors(senior and available -maximum two from a Deptt), Vice Chancellor of 90-92, Registrar of 90-92, President Students Union of 90-92 and other personalities will be felicitated in that function. In addition to Souvenir ,VOSS 92 is planning to release one Special Cover by India Post.Logo will be  decided very soon. One award will be launched on behalf of VOSS 92 in Silver Jubilee which will be awarded to best PG  student of P.G Teaching Departments , Vanivihar on every year on Foundation Day of Utkal University. T Shirts & Memento will be arranged for each member to enjoy and recall the old memories. It will take another two three meetings to finalise the event and to reach the proper shape. so members are requested to suggest, participate and cooperate to take best decisions.Considering all above events it is decided that all members will contribute donations or contributions well in advance so that every thing will go in a positive and smooth way. The minimum contribution for single member(no child) is 2000/- and minimum contribution for family is 3,000/-. Maximum has no limit . All employed and capable members will be requested to donate more for the purpose. It is a sincere appeal to all members to go on informing other batch mates for larger participation and greater interest of VOSS92.
