Anshuman ( Arjun) recently qualified for KVPY - Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana 2014. He is the only Student of 12th standard of DAV Public School, Unit-8 to achieve this . The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan
Yojana (KVPY) is a National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated
and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to
attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic Science
courses and research career in science.The selection process completed in two
rounds of examination entitles the qualifiers to get direct admission to Indian
Institute of Sciences, IISER,NISER to pursue research and scholarship till the
completion of their higher studies .
Earlier he had qualified for NTSE also.National Talent Search Exam ( NTSE )
conducted for Class X students by NCERT ,GOI . NTSE qualifier gets scholarship
of Rs. 1200/- per month from Class XI onward (irrespective of class/course) except
for Ph.D., It is paid as per UGC norms. Arjun is a all rounder. He is a Musician, Singer , Artist & studious scholar. He has proved his talents in Musical Instruments like Guitar & Tabla, sings English songs and paints many eye catching Arts. He has also completed Diploma in Art.
